Postponement of the Act

from 28th October 2024 to 24th February 2025

On the morning of 12 September 2024 the Rt Hon Member for Queens Park and Maida Vale, Georgia Gould MP, Parliamentary Secretary for the Cabinet Office, made a written statement announcing that that the implementation of the Procurement Act had been postponed from 28 October 24 to 24 February 25.

The reason given is that the National Procurement Policy Statement requires re-positioning to align with the new Government’s growth objectives, however there are also indications that the Central Digital Platform, which is a fundamental requirement for the functioning of the new Act, has run into delays.
